Forest Walks
Sophia B. asked:

I watched an Youtube video a while back and a guy was visiting this one place that is hidden in a forest.

as you are walking, you come across this LONG row of stone.

it looks like a coliseum but its not a circle, its just in a straight line. maybe there was a train on top? maybe it was like a gate.

it looked like this

japan

now the guy told me what it was called, but I couldnt remember, and i cant find that video on youtube.

i just remember the stone structure was very old, had alot of leaves and trees around it. and i think there might have been a temple/shrine near by, but im not sure.

thanks , ANY help would be appreciated.
actually it looked very much like the last link u posted.

except it was IN the forest, no water under it :D

and people were walking underneath.

it was very pretty

I am not sure which film you watched. However, stone arches or bridges are not rare in Japan.

In the Taisho period (1912-1926), so called “Taisho modern” or “Taisho roman(romance)” movement which was influenced by romanticism occurred in Japan.
Japan adopted lots European designs, such as Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Dadaisme.
This is why I say Japan was influenced by Europe very much.

I think I know what you are talking about. It is in Kyoto and I’ve seen it. I forgot the name of it, but this bridge looking structure works like a canal. The water go through the waterway on top of this thing. It sits in the middle of foresty area of bamboos and other stuff, and yes, it was near a temple which I cannot remember the name…Sorry!
