Never had it happen to me.. but it sounds really romantic and kinda nice.

You made my night! I remember a walk just like that, near sunset up in the mountains, it was like God talking to me. A complete feeling of peace. Mystical almost, can;t really fully describe it.Makes you wish there was a way of capturing it and sharing it.Like you just did!
Yes, the smell, the gentle pitter patter on the leaves of the tree & its so peaceful. After the rain is nice too…all the birds sing !
Sounds like a hallmark moment for sure, but every time its ever rained on me there was nothing softly about it.
always came down in buckets and the only mist was what was coming from my eyes due to the pain i felt from the pellet size raindrops hitting me at what seemed like 150 miles per hour.Like i said sounds nice never seen it though.

yes i got caught in such a thing, rained day in and day out for 3 months. beautiful country. it was really frightning tho. bombs going off people jumping out from behind trees . trying to kill you.snakes so big they could swallow a full grown hog. no it wasnt to romantic back then.
i totally understand the feeling.. the rain carreses you like a lover and leaves u craving for more..
